| The UK's Commando force in WWII was trained in the Scottish highlands. There is a tribute to them right here. The hills here certainly look like a good place to train for something difficult. | |

| Eilean Donan Castle, near Dornie. Evening, beautiful pale grey twilight. Speculated on castle defense architecture versus aesthetics. More bad photography by Tai. We saw a tribute to the McCraes and McCraigs of the Commonwealth killed in the First World War, which includes Canada's famous poet Lieut. Col. John McCrae. We saw the tidal currents shift between Loch Duig and Loch Alsh, and we waved at the tidal zone crabs, who waved back with large, friendly pincers. | |
